To celebrate the Pier’s 127th Birthday, the National Pier Society Year of the Pier and to mark the end of a really successful year as the NPS Pier of the Year, FBGP and BCC are organizing a Music Festival on Sunday 14th May.
UPDATE: As a mark of respect after the Queen’s death, the Awyr Las event on Saturday has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
We are pleased to announce that Aled Jones, Welsh singer and radio and television presenter, has agreed to become a Patron of FBGP. Born in Bangor and brought up on Anglesey, Aled reached widespread fame in the 1980s as a teenage chorister and since then has had a successful career and varied career including as a contestant on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Over the four days of the Jubilee weekend, FBGP along with the kiosk holders will be putting on some special entertainment and activities. There will be games for children by The Pavilion and a Royal Treasure Hunt! In the afternoons and early evenings there will be live music on the stage by The Pavilion and a bar. We will look forward to seeing you there!
